Our Services
Initial Consult
This visit is with your baby in the comfort of your own home. There is no need to get dressed or pack a diaper bag because I will come to you. We will have one in-person visit and one virtual follow up in the week following the initial consult.
During your appointment we will:
review health history
discuss birth and postpartum history for both the breastfeeding parent and child
complete a breast exam
complete an oral assessment on your baby
observe and assess feeding at the breast and/or by bottle, depending on your situation
observe and assess a pumping session if applicable
discuss and create a plan for the next two days
I will provide a written report to your healthcare provider(s).
We will meet again virtually a few days later to reassess the plan. You can email questions or concerns regarding this plan for the next week at no additional cost.

Follow-Up Consult
Follow-Up consults are for established clients to continue support beyond the one week after the initial consult. This is intended for complex breastfeeding situations which need additional support.

Older Babies Consult
This consult is for new or established clients after you’ve been breastfeeding for awhile. This consult could be virtual or in-person.
In this consult we may:
Observe and assess a pumping session
Discuss breastmilk storage and/or formula preparation
Discuss how to talk about a feeding plan with your child’s caregiver
Discuss introducing solids
Weaning
Note: This visit does not cover a breastfeeding assessment.

Flange Fitting
This consult is for assessing the size of the nipple for getting a proper fit with a breast pump flange. Pump companies usually include two sizes and often they are far from the right size! Getting the right size flange can help you pump milk comfortably and quickly. This consult is approximately 30 minutes in the office of Cleveland Chiropractic and Integrative Wellness Center in Brecksville, Ohio.
In this consult we may:
Measure nipples and try various sizes and shapes of flanges until we find the most comfortable fit for you
Discuss pump settings
Discuss breastmilk storage
Note: We do not have flanges to sell at this time. This visit does not cover a breastfeeding assessment. You can bring your baby but it’s not necessary.

Payment and Insurance
All consults include one (1) week of follow-up email support at no additional cost.
Payment is expected in full prior to the consult. Payment will be submitted through Square or by personal check. Payment with Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are accepted through Square.
Summit Lactation is not an in-network provider with any insurance companies at this time, however a superbill will be provided for you to submit to your insurance company. Information on appealing insurance claims with your superbill can be found through The National Women’s Law Center in their Breastfeeding Toolkit which you can download and follow step-by-step.
